Please join us at our luncheon featuring Dr. Stephen Grinstead, Chief Clinical Officer of the Healing Place to discuss the misuse and rise of Opioids and Benzodiazepines in older adults.

Dr. Stephen Grinstead has a Bachelor’s Degree in Behavioral Science, a Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology and a Doctorate in Addictive Disorders (Dr. AD). He is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, (LMFT) and an Advanced Relapse Prevention Specialist (ACRPS). He is currently Co-Founder and Chief Clinical Officer for A Healing Place – The Estates in Camarillo California; a chronic pain functional restoration program. Dr. Grinstead is the author of the book “Freedom from Suffering: A Journey of Hope” as well as several other chronic pain management books and an internationally recognized expert in preventing relapse.

WHAT IS THE VENTURA COUNTY ADULT ABUSE PREVENTION COUNCIL?

The Ventura County Adult Abuse Prevention Council (VCAAPC) is a not-for profit service organization dedicated to the prevention of elder and dependent adult abuse by providing education and advocacy services.

The VCAAPC meets the second
Tuesday of every other month,
11:30 a.m.-1:00 p.m. in Camarillo.

It is governed by a Board of Directors and elected officers. It is a 501 (c)(3) organization with the State of California. Our regular meetings are open to anyone who is interested in our cause.
